Heavier riders and beginners need a larger board as it has a larger volume. Smaller Efoil boards are suitable for lighter riders or even advanced riders. You can use an Efoil board with a less volume board if you are looking for higher speeds, the less is volume, the lighter and more maneuverable the board is. 2. Efoil mast length
The length/height of the mast needs to be taken into consideration as it determines how high you can fly above the water and keep the wings submerged. The body of water where you will be riding also needs an appropriate mast. A taller mast is recommended for open seas, oceans, and wavy/choppy lakes. You will need 70 centimeters tall masts to ride over the chop. A shorter mast is good enough on flat waters and it’s very forgiving, especially for beginners. At Sifly Efoil we have 2 different mast sizes; 55 cm recommended for entry-level, heavier riders, and schooling. The 75 cm Efoil mast on the Sifly Hydrofoil Unit that’s recommended for advanced riders.
3. Efoil Battery Life
The battery weight There is nothing more disappointing than not having ample time to enjoy something that you love or starting to love. You cannot go further with a battery that is not performing well. Make sure to check the battery life. You can also consider boards by buying more than 1 battery. Usually, schools have more than 2 or 3 batteries used with the same Efoil in order to be able to make lessons Back to Back so they can still have fun and continue with the lessons while charging the other. The battery can also determine the maximum speed that you can have while riding. The shorter the battery life, the shorter the distance you can get.

For advanced riders and lighter riders, we recommend going for the Cruiser Front Wing 1300 cm2 and CR300 Back Wing 300 cm2.
